The desert may not be the best place to go when temperatures are in the triple digits, but Clean-Dezert has something worth checking out. Clean-Dezert will be holding a desert clean-up on Saturday, July 23rd at the popular Hodge Road shooting area (29980 Hodge Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92307) from 8 to 11 pm.
Clean-Dezert will be out there from Friday – Monday camping the entire weekend. The event will take place at night as this area is an active shooting area during the day. Also being this is in the middle of summer, a night trip is an easy way to get out and beat the summer heat. Clean-Dezert will also be playing movies Friday and Saturday night, weather permitting, on a jumbo screen.
The event starts at 8 pm, but everyone is more than welcome to come out early and hang out. Everyone will need to sign up to get a wristband to be a part of the clean-up. Food will be served throughout the event along with water.
Clean-Dezert has some tools to loan out during the event, but shovels and rakes are welcome if you have them. Other cleaning tools are recommended as well as bringing a pair of gloves.
The raffle will take place around 11 pm, once the dumpsters are filled. So far Clean Dezert has received tons of support from the off-road community and has a bunch of great prizes from the companies below:
