Shock Therapy recently announced multiple upgrades specifically tailored to utility vehicles. For both the Polaris Ranger and the Can-Am Defender, Shock Therapy now offers two levels of upgrade with adjustable spring kits and FOX QS3 shocks.
The Spring Kit for the Polaris Ranger as well as the Spring Kit for the Can-Am Defender, have been rigorously tested and perfected over the past few months. The springs in the kit are made in the USA from the highest grade CrSi material, which while more expensive than the other springs, provides the intended spring rate every time without fading.
The spring system offers a smoother, more plush ride than stock, with increased bottom-out resistance in the biggest hits. It uses a threaded preload adapter and preload collar for maximum adjustability.
Things you can expect with the spring upgrade kits are a more precise and larger range of preload adjustability compared to stock, smoother and more plush in small bumps, chop, and chatter. In addition, less bottoming out in the big hits and adjustable for more ride height and ground clearance.
Both the FOX QS3 for the Polaris Ranger and the FOX QS3 for the Can-Am Defender provide a massive upgrade compared to the stock suspension on the respective vehicles.
The FOX Performance Series 2.0 Podium QS3 shock kit is a direct bolt-on four-corner replacement for your stock Can-Am Defender HD10 or Polaris Ranger shocks and springs. The upgrade transforms your Defender/Ranger from a capable utility vehicle to a more sporty ride able to tackle the tougher off-road terrain at a faster pace.
The FOX Podium 2.0 QS3 shocks replace the stock emulsion shocks with an internal floating piston (IFP) system housed in the piggyback reservoirs to keep the gas charge from mixing with the shock oil. The design effectively keeps the oil from thinning out and losing damping control as the shocks get worked over washboards, rocks, and big dips.
The Quick Switch 3-position compression damping adjustment allows you to quickly set your shocks to adapt to your riding conditions. Set the QS3 to setting 1 for the softest ride on smoother trails or rock crawling. Setting 2 increases the firmness if you’re carrying extra passengers or gear. Setting 3 provides increased bottom-out protection when you catch some air off a dune or speed through rough terrain.
Beyond the extra capability you gain after bolting on a set of FOX Podium 2.0 QS3 shocks, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that they’re ruggedly built with hard-anodized aluminum bodies and reservoirs that resist corrosion, 5/8-inch hard chromed shafts for smooth operation and longer seal life, and are fully rebuildable if you ever damage a part.
