Tow pigs put in just as must work as the vehicles they pull out to the dirt, and there is no reason their ride shouldn’t be as comfortable as the rides they are pulling. King Shocks released a front and rear shock kit for 2014 and newer Ram 2500s.

These shock kits are 100 percent bolt-on, increasing the Ram 2500’s wheel travel. The Ram 2500 shock kit includes large 2.5-diameter shock bodies, which increases fluid capacity for smoother, cooler running shocks.

The Ram 2500 shock kit features King’s 2.5 IBP Internal Bypass shock, delivering precisely tunable velocity-sensitive and position-sensitive damping and a hydraulic bump stop in a bolt-on monotube shock. King’s monotube design uses a full-diameter piston and standard, full-size valving, all while being built from the same quality materials and to the exact precise tolerances as King’s top-of-the-line Pure Race series shocks.

King’s Ram 2500 IBP shock kit comes standard with finned reservoirs with compression adjusters. External finned reservoirs dramatically increase fluid capacity and heat dissipation while providing sustained damping performance even under the most punishing conditions. The finned reservoirs also feature King’s new threaded end cap design with a new Schrader valve protective cap.

One thing to note is these shocks are not an OEM direct replacement. The front shock kit is intended for use with a leveling or lift kit, which should include longer than stock front coil springs or coil spring spacers and an aftermarket bump stop or bump stop spacer to limit up travel. The rear shock kit requires two-inch longer than stock rear coil springs and parking brake cable modifications.

Like all of King’s shocks, the Ram 2500 IBP shocks have had extensive dynamometer lab testing and punishing real-world testing for developing the optimal damping curves.
