The Jeep Wrangler has been named the 4×4 of the Year by the Off-Road Expo. The announcement of the inaugural award was made by Bonnier, producers of the Off-Road Expo during the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The Off-Road Expo 4×4 of the Year was determined by the results of a survey of the off-road industry, including Exhibitors at both Off-Road Expo events this year, as well as by vehicle counts at those events. The results determined that the Jeep Wrangler is the most customizable, accessory-friendly 4×4 platform, representing the best business opportunity for the Off-Road industry for the next 12 months and the vehicle with the most accessory and customization options for consumers.
Off-Road Expo hosts annual events at the Fairplex in Pomona, California and Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona where off-road parts manufacturers, distributors, retailers, fabricators, racers, media, buyers and more come together to kick-off their outdoor seasons.
“On behalf of the off-road industry and Off-Road Expo, we are thrilled to present the first-ever Off-Road Expo 4×4 of the Year Award to the Jeep Wrangler,” said Jonathan Moore, Executive VP, Events, Bonnier. “There are many capable 4×4 platforms available to off-road enthusiasts, but the Wrangler represents the best platform for prosperity in the next year.”
“The ability to customize a Jeep Wrangler and make it their own is one of the many things our Jeep enthusiasts love about the Wrangler 4×4,” said Jim Morrison, Senior Vice President and Head of Jeep Brand North America. “To be recognized as the 4×4 of the year by Off-road Expo with its inaugural award is third-party confirmation that the off-road community also sees the value Wrangler delivers.”
