Ken Block is up to it again, but this time it is in his all-new, all-electric Hoonitron in the first of what we can only imagine will be a long series of Electrikahana. After a billion total views across 10 wildly successful Gymkhana Films, setting the current bar for automotive action movies, Block is back with a new partner to launch the future of Gymkhana.
Driving an entirely bespoke machine developed and built by Audi, Block is electrifying his long-running action-packed video series. To provide the perfect setting for the 800-volt, bi-motor AWD Audi S1 Hoonitron’s tire-slaying debut, Hoonigan Media Machine shut down one of the busiest cities in the world, Las Vegas, to be able to achieve a video of this caliber.
“One of the advantages of the one-off Audi S1 Hoonitron’s electric, bi-motor drivetrain is the lack of a gearbox which means the ability to go from 0-120 kilometers per hour wheel speed almost instantly,” Block said. “And that makes for some wild reverse-entry slides.”
