The international adventure and vehicle-borne exploration continues with the highly-anticipated fifth season of the well-regarded X Overland films. In “The Nordic Series,” the X Overland team explores the rugged beauty of the Scandinavian Peninsula and nearby locales. The 10-part series debuts on Overlander Network on February 9 and on YouTube on March 9.
With over 567 million minutes watched across multiple streaming platforms for all seasons, “The Nordic Series” carries on with the stunning visuals, beautiful cinematography and detailed storytelling that X Overland is known for. The latest season takes place in the far-flung corners of the mountainous and glacial terrain of Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Faroe Islands and Iceland. Enabling the team to access lesser-seen and remote areas of the fabled region are its highly-capable 2015 Toyota 4Runner, 2021 Toyota Tacoma and 2022 Toyota Tundra. All were built in-house by the X Overland team using their decades of overlanding experience with partners General Tire, Patriot Campers, Vertx, Alu-Cab, onX Offroad, CBI Offroad Fabrication, Warn Industries, REDARC Electronics, Pennzoil, Rigid Industries, Goose Gear, MAXTRAX and SureFire.
“Our family has generational roots in Norway, and we have long wanted to visit where our ancestors sailed from so many decades ago,” said X Overland CEO Clay Croft. “Many of our long-time viewers have also wanted to explore the region, and we are excited that they can come along with us through ‘The Nordic Series.’ We know they won’t be disappointed as we showcase this spectacular corner of our planet.”
The popular X Overland collection of adventure series was started in 2010 by Clay and Rachelle Croft with an exploration of North America with the mindset of “ordinary people doing extraordinary things.” Since then, the X Overland team has journeyed through the jungles of Central America, traveled to Patagonia via South America, explored the Australian Outback, traversed the Baja Peninsula, and scouted the last frontier of Alaska.
This has been a great series to watch whether you are just getting into overlanding or just want to watch some great off-road videos. For more information on X Overland, be sure to check out their website.
